Why might the future of finance look more like games than banks??
Finance has always been about rules, assets, and incentives. Games are… also about rules, assets, and incentives. The only difference is that games make these systems visible and fun, while banks hide them behind jargon and paperwork. Web3 collapses the distinction. When assets are programmable, when ownership is provable, when economies run transparently on-chain, then “finance” and “gaming” start to rhyme. Sui is especially positioned here. Its object model makes items and tokens behave the same way: tradable, upgradeable, and secure. A sword in a game, a bond in DeFi, or a collectible NFT can all live in the same logic system. The gap between “serious finance” and “playful economies” shrinks. The provocative question is not whether games can adopt finance, but whether finance itself will look like a game.
