How to bridge Sui to chains like Abstract or Base?

I'm trying to find a way to bridge Sui to other chains like Abstract or Base. I heard about some official Sui bridges or something called Wormhole bridge. Can someone explain if these are viable options or if there's another reliable way to achieve this?

Consider looking into decentralized exchanges or multi-chain services that specialize in bridging assets across blockchains. These services might offer the functionality you're looking for if the official Sui or Wormhole bridges don't support the chains you want.

You can check the official Sui bridge or the Wormhole bridge to see if they support such transactions. These platforms often have detailed documentation or support channels that can provide guidance on bridging Sui to other chains like Abstract or Base.

To bridge Sui to chains like Abstract or Base, consider the following options ¹ ²:

  • Official Sui Bridge: This bridge is directly secured by Sui network validators and supports transfers from Ethereum to Sui. However, it doesn't currently support bridging to Abstract or Base.
  • Portal Bridge (Wormhole): A viable alternative for bridging Sui to other chains, including Base. It enables direct bridging between Sui and non-Ethereum chains, with support for routes like Sui to Solana, Base, Aptos, Arbitrum, and Avalanche. Users mint wrapped tokens on the destination chain, paying roughly $0.0001 per transfer and a flat 0.1% swap fee.
  • Router Nitro: A fast, user-friendly multi-chain bridge with added features by Router Protocol. It supports bridging assets across 30+ chains, including Ethereum and Solana, with gas airdrops to cover SUI fees.
  • Suilend: A token bridging application powered by Wormhole, allowing users to bridge assets between Ethereum, Solana, and Sui. It offers automatic bridging for SUI-less wallets via native gas feature.
  • Cetus: A DEX and liquidity protocol on SUI with integrated bridging capabilities, powered by Wormhole. It supports native USDC bridging and token swap support from any supported chain to any token on Sui.

When choosing a bridge, consider factors such as:

  • Security: Look for bridges with strong security audits and a good track record.
  • Supported Chains: Ensure the bridge supports the chains you want to bridge between.
  • Fees: Compare fees across different bridges, including gas fees and swap fees.
  • Transfer Time: Check the estimated transfer time for each bridge.

Before making a transfer, double-check the supported tokens and be mindful of potential gas fees.
