Security as a Foundation for Ecosystem Growth
No matter how fast or scalable, an ecosystem can’t grow without trust. Sui’s Move language reduces risks, but vulnerabilities still happen.
Should ecosystem projects make audits & bug bounties a standard?
How can we better educate new devs about security best practices?
Is formal verification worth the effort for every project, or just critical ones?
Do you think security is the biggest factor in Sui’s ecosystem growth, or are adoption and UX more important?

1Security is definitely the foundation of ecosystem growth. Without trust, users won’t engage no matter how fast or user-friendly a blockchain is. Sui’s Move language already reduces many risks, but projects should still make audits and bug bounties standard practice to catch edge cases.
✅ Educating new devs → Providing guides, workshops, and code examples on secure Move patterns will help avoid common mistakes early. ✅ Formal verification → Not every small project needs it, but for critical protocols (DeFi, custody, infrastructure) it should be non-negotiable. ✅ Security vs. UX/Adoption → They go hand in hand. Security builds trust, and UX drives engagement. A secure but clunky app won’t scale, and a smooth but insecure app won’t last.
In my view, security is the bedrock, while UX is the bridge to mass adoption. Both are essential for Sui’s ecosystem to thrive. 🚀
